Slovakia is serviced by a number of operators; the national companies are Air Slovakia and the young Slovak Airlines. Other companies that offer flights to the country include Aeroflot, Aeromist-Kharkiv, Austrian, Air France, British Airways, Czech Airlines, Delta, Easyjet, Hemus Air, Israir, LOT, Lufthansa, Maersk Air and SkyEurope Airlines.

Flights from London to Bratislava are around one hour and 45 minutes, and Bratislava’s international airport includes all the amenities that would be expected – a bar, left luggage, a restaurant etc. There are regular buses and taxi services into the city, as well as car hire facilities. The other international airports in Slovakia are Ko¡sice Airport and Tatry-Poprad Airport, and a number of travellers use Austria’s Vienna airport as a gateway to Slovakia, with regular coach services crossing the border.
